My Mission

To provide thorough assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and medication management for all ages and psychiatric mental-health conditions.

As a veteran and dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I have devoted my career to serving individuals with unwavering commitment, clinical excellence, and genuine compassion. My mission is to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and to create a safe, respectful environment where every person feels heard, valued, and empowered.

With extensive experience caring for diverse populations across the lifespan, I provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. I am deeply committed to supporting individuals holistically, including patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I recognize each person and provide the same dignity, understanding, and access to quality mental health care they deserve. I tailor each treatment plan to meet the individual’s cognitive, emotional, and developmental needs, ensuring that care is accessible, respectful, and effective.

I believe that mental health care must extend beyond managing symptoms. True healing requires a holistic approach—addressing mental, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. Each individual carries a unique story shaped by life experiences, strengths, and challenges. By treating the whole person rather than a diagnosis, I strive to help my patients achieve meaningful and lasting improvements in their overall quality of life.

As a strong advocate for individuals who have experienced complex trauma, including domestic violence, abuse, and other adverse life events, I understand the profound impact trauma can have on both the mind and body. My approach is grounded in trauma-informed care, emphasizing safety, trust, collaboration, and empowerment. I am also deeply honored to serve our men and women in uniform—both military personnel and civilians in uniformed roles—who often face unique psychological and emotional stressors while dedicating themselves to the service of others.

Compassion, respect, and individualized care guide every patient interaction. It is my privilege to walk alongside those I serve, helping them build resilience, restore balance, and move forward with strength and hope—mentally, physically, and overall.

My Mission

As a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health care that is individualized and grounded in understanding the whole person. My goal is to create a space where clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and comfortable discussing their concerns without judgment. I believe clients should feel well-informed, empowered, and actively involved in decisions about their care.

Mental health is connected to every part of our lives. I consider the many factors that can influence how someone feels and functions, including physical and emotional health, relationships, lifestyle, circumstances, and life experiences. Through comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, education, and ongoing support, I work with each client to develop a treatment plan that reflects their unique needs, preferences, and goals.

Above all, I want my clients to know they have a provider who listens, takes their concerns seriously, and works alongside them. My goal is not simply to reduce symptoms, but to help clients better understand their mental health, advocate for their needs, and improve how they feel and function in everyday life. Ultimately, I hope to help clients make meaningful, sustainable improvements in their overall well-being and quality of life.

Before becoming a PMHNP, I worked as a registered nurse in cardiothoracic care, where I developed a strong clinical foundation and an appreciation for the connection between physical and emotional health. That experience continues to shape the whole-person approach I bring to psychiatric care. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University, my Master of Science in Nursing from Herzing University, and my post-master’s certificate as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Purdue Global University.

Outside of healthcare, horses have been a lifelong passion of mine. As a competitive equestrian, I have developed a deep appreciation for patience, trust, resilience, focus, and the importance of connection. My time with horses has also reinforced how our experiences shape the way we respond to challenges, relate to others, and care for ourselves. I bring that perspective to my practice, knowing that every client’s story is different and that meaningful care begins by taking the time to understand them as an individual.
